Well-crafted public participation, particularly in the early stages of a decision-making process, is necessary to create a smoothly operating and fully supported outcome. Jessie works with government groups, community organizations, non-profits, and corporations to help them develop plans and share ideas with the public. In most of this work, Jessie plays the role of a neutral third party, convening a group of people to discuss an issue or work on a common goal.
In a facilitated process, Jessie encourages people to express individual opinions while keeping the group on track toward a solution. Tools include:
- Analysis of group dynamics
- Mediation
- Meeting management
- Research coordination
- Plan development
